Another project

As part of my degree we have a practical project as well. I'm currently working on a character animation piece of an action star that has made his first big blockbuster movie. I'm telling the story through a behind-the-scenes sort of trailer, finishing of with a teaser trailer of the upcoming film. I did some voice acting for it in the recording studio at my school, and when you have a trailer, you'll need a trailer voice. So I gave it my best;)

An action hero also need's his weapons so I've started modelling an Assult Rifle for one of the sequences in the trailer:

And as long as I'm here...

Here is another character piece I've been working on. Thought I'd might make a couple of them, as a little series, the working title is "When UFO's Attack". This piece is still WiP. Some of the things I will be correcting is trying to hold the poses a little longer, but also make it snappy.

We'll here we go!

First time on blogspot, second time blogger;)

I'm a student...for now.

I'm currently studying at University Of Teesside in Middlesbrough, England, and getting my bachelour degree in Digital Character Animation.

So, here is the progress of the first 10 sec animation that we were assigned this semester. We had to animate an audio clip from a selection of clips that we were given. I chose a clip from "The Dark Knigt". I've put him in an acting role, auditioning for a part in a play, so he is a little dramatic and emphesises his movements. In Stage 2. I've put in some stage curtians as well.

After some feedback from the Stage1 preview I made some changes. I tried to focus a little more on the wieght of the character, because it seems like he is floating a little. More anticipation on the walk-in and also focusing on cleaning up the arc so it didn't look as mechanical. I also tried to give the character more attidude and facial expression. This is not the final for Stage 2. I'm going to adjust more on the tilting of the character the first time he leans forward, it's like he is almost faling over. But here it is.

Here is also the magnifisent acting video I used for my reference. A brilliant preformance by myself I must say:P
